About me

So here goes the obligatory all about me section…

Hello! Hi! Hey there!

I’m Shaena, ex self-sabotage extraordinaire, now soulful warrior on a mission AND author of this blog.

If you are completely new here, welcome welcome. I hope you find some comfort in my words, laughter in my stories and value in my guidance.

My story is simple and for many of you, it’s probably familiar. I grew up in a loving household with 2 parents (who are still together), 2 sisters and various four-legged fur balls.

I’m a British born Indian (so if anyone wants to send me back to where I came from, Dudley, West Midlands is where that is) which comes with its own challenges, but my heritage is something I am extremely proud of.

Aside from a very brief phase of wanting to be an Astronaut when I was a kid, I didn’t really have any big ambitions or goals. I just assumed that I would study hard (a non-negotiable for Indian kids), get a decent job, get married, buy a house, start a family and live happily ever after!

What a naive little fool I was!

Instead, I found myself boozing my way through my 20s and 30s, moving from miserable job to miserable job, regularly in debt, mostly single and doing it all with a fake smile on my face.

I hated my life, and I hated me.

After a series of rock bottoms, hospital admittances and finding myself on the high-risk missing persons police database, I eventually succumbed to the fact that something needed to change. And in February 2020, just before covid came along and ruined our lives, I decided it was time to start making mine better.

What followed was months of soul searching, self-discovery and a shit load of healing.

And I now stand before you a healthier, happier and wholesome human being, who has made it her life’s mission to help other lost souls create the life they deserve, just as I did.

And this blog is where you can follow me as a I start a new chapter and take myself, my new outlook on life and my business overseas on a brand new adventure.

I’ll be sharing with you the good, the bad and the ugly. So hit subscribe and enjoy the ride!

Happy reading!
